Synopsis
In 1560, a Spanish expedition left the Peruvian highlands to go deep into the Amazonian forest in search of the mythical Eldorado. The company is demented but Aguirre, second in command, refuses to give up. He overthrows his leader and takes the lead of the group. From then on, his men will have to follow him, whatever the cost: Aguirre has taken it into his head to carve out an empire around the fabulous city of gold and to found a dynasty there.
